Ron Paul releases new TV ad, readies for Leno

The Ron Paul presidential campaign has released a new TV ad for New Hampshire. It's much better than the first Ron Paul television ad. The new exposure is not limited to paid advertising though, some mainstream outlets are finally starting to realize what they've been missing as they previously ignored or ridiculed the Ron Paul Revolution.

On October 30th, Tom Cruise and the Sex Pistols will be joined as guests on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno by none other than the next president, Ron Paul. There is a fundraiser in the Hills which will hopefully provide a little surge in the donation totals. My guess would be that Ron Paul has more closet support in Hollywood than he does vocal support. Speaking of vocals and sex pistols, THE Barry Manilow will be appearing on the Tonight Show on October 31st along with hottie Eva Mendes.

Bill O'Reilly admits Ron Paul was right, calls him a pinhead anyway

Betsy DeVall stopped her car on some train tracks. Unfortunately, a train was coming, and Ms. DeVall seemed oblivious to that. There she is with the police officer.


So Greer Police Officer Marcus O'Shields had to pull the woman from her car, which was then destroyed by the oncoming train. Obviously, Officer O'Shields is a patriot. And we suspect Ms. DeVall is a pinhead. Just sitting there on the tracks.


But so is Congressman Ron Paul, who said this.

Will Ron Paul raise a million bucks on November 5th?

I've seen it thrown about that Ron Paul Meetup members are planning a $100 donation on November 5th. It was recently reported that less than 3% of donors to Ron Paul are maxed out, so that leaves a lot of room for growth.


Let's say that there are 40,000 unique and loyal Ron Paul Meetup members. If 25% of them meet the $100 donation request on November 5th then they will raise Ron Paul $1,000,000 in a single day. Impressive, and I'd say that's a conservative estimate of what could happen.


Remember, I'm only counting Internet donations from Ron Paul Meetup members. Ron Paul has much more support than just Meetup groups. He got nearly a half-million votes in 1988. Something tells me that a majority of those people are still alive and most of them will vote for Ron Paul. I don't participate in Meetups and I'll most likely donate for my first time on that day. So will many others.


I can already see the hater headlines in early November claiming that the Ron Paul campaign is falling flat because of a monthly fundraising goal that fell a million short. Boom! Remember, remember the Fifth of November.

Deists for Ron Paul

I would go so far as to say that Ron Paul has the Deist vote wrapped up. That's not saying a whole lot, as there are many more Jews in America than Deists, but we comprise a solid and powerful group of voters. The Constitution is largely based on principles which Deists live by. Take the following excerpt from the Deism.com website for example:

• What's Deism's answer to all the evil in the world? Much of the evil in the world could be overcome or removed if humanity had embraced our God-given reason from our earliest evolutionary stages. After all, all the laws of nature that we've discovered and learned to use to our advantage that make everything from computers to medicine to space travel realities, have existed eternally. But we've decided we'd rather live in superstition and fear instead of learning and gaining knowledge. It's much more soothing to believe we're not responsible for our own actions than to actually do the hard work required for success.

Sound familiar? It sounds like the basic philosophy for a free-market economy and a non-interventionalist foreign policy if you ask me. I don't agree with everything that the Deism website has to say but if you'll look around to get a grasp of what Deism is all about you'll see fairly quickly that it is a "religion" which is almost exactly in tune with the message of Ron Paul and our Founding Fathers.

I'm not trying to promote Deism to anyone. I'm just saying that Ron Paul is very likely to get almost all Deist votes. He is the presidential candidate who uses logic and reason when he governs the people.

Will Ron Paul get invited to attend The Greater Houston Partnership bipartisan presidential forum?

The Greater Houston Partnership is sponsoring a bipartisan presidential forum on Nov. 13 to address energy and environmental issues. Several candidates are reportedly going to attend. Ron Paul was initially not invited but event organizers are considering extending an invitation to Paul and Mike Huckabee.


(Chron) - The organizers initially invited eight candidates: Sen. Clinton of New York, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson; and Republican former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Sen. Fred Thompson of Tennessee, and Sen. John McCain of Arizona.


Spokesmen for the Giuliani, Richardson, Romney and Thompson campaigns said their candidates had made no commitments beyond this weekend.


McDaniel said the organizers limited the invitation list to those candidates who, two or three months ago, appeared to be in the top tier of contenders.


That selection process proved a bit awkward, since Rep. Ron Paul, R-Lake Jackson, is a member of the Houston area delegation but was not invited.


Now organizers are considering opening up the invitation list to include Paul and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on the Republican side, as well as Democratic senators Joe Biden and Chris Dodd.

Ron Paul appeals to all of those except perhaps a wing of the neoconservative and religious movement which likes to use our easy money and our military for their own ideological beliefs and personal gain. This race is Ron Paul's to win. Ron Paul is a better Republican than all other participating candidates. Heck, Ron Paul is a better Democrat than all of the other participating Democratic candidates. Both parties have gone astray in a very bad way.

Health Care - Obama versus Ron Paul

Check out this post from Leisure With Dignity which sums up the difference between Barack Obama and Ron Paul on the matter of health care. The big versus small mentality of each candidate extends far beyond the health care issue, but this is a promising sign that at least some folks outside of the Paul camp are opening their eyes to a different way of seeing things. I wish the blogger would reconsider the final statement of the post because Ron Paul does not govern in a way that restricts religious freedoms at all. I am a Deist for Ron Paul. If his ideology hindered my freedom to believe what I want to believe and act accordingly then I wouldn't be supporting him.

Democrats: Children Will Get Insurance

(AP) — House Democratic leaders said Sunday they were working to gather votes to override a veto on a popular children's health program, but pledged to find a way to cover millions without insurance should their effort fail.


"Isn't that sad for America's children?" said Pelosi, D-Calif., when asked about the GOP's assurances the override vote will fail. "It doesn't mean we aren't working hard throughout the country: governors, mayors, people who deal with children on a regular basis.


"We'll try very hard to override it. But one thing's for sure: We won't rest until those 10 million children have health care," she said in an interview broadcast Sunday.


Affordable health care is the answer, not health insurance every child who doesn't have it. I don't want my kid on government welfare health care. I just want insurance companies, drug companies and my own government to stop making the prices skyrocket. These politicians like Pelosi and Hoyer are eloquently lying to the public as to the true intentions of the program. Please vote for Ron Paul. He's the only one who gets it.
