Huckabee campaign enlists 260 bloggers

Well, this would explain the rise in Internet traffic for Huckabee. I knew something had to be behind that surge, glad the news finally came out. 260+ Hucksters spamming away.

Ron Paul haters find Liberty Dollar maker guilty before trial has begun

Many places on the glorious Interwebs have picked up on the Ron Paul Liberty Dollar heist by the Feds. As was easily predictable, haters of Ron Paul have once again discarded logic and proclaimed the target of the FBI/Secret Service raid to be guilty before the guy has even been arrested. On top of that, all Ron Paul fans are kooks because a few of them like to use something other than FRN's to barter with.

Oh, and since I'm in a particularly cheery mood this evening, just wanted to give a shout out to the anti-Paul pro-choicers who support Nazi-style Eugenics while fouling a good man because some buttcake Nazi sent him $500 to campaign with.

Liberty Dollar raid brings hard money debate to national level

I think the raid on the Liberty Dollar will be a good thing in the long run. It will not be harmful to Ron Paul's presidential campaign. It is publicity and because his name is attached to the story it has been put into the national spotlight. You don't have to advocate a new hard money standard to realize the wrong in what the government has done here.

Ron Paul to join tailgaters at Olive Court before Iowa Hawkeyes football game

Leading presidential candidate Ron Paul will join Iowa Hawkeye and Western Michigan tailgaters on Saturday at Olive Court in Iowa City. Olive Court is one of the most popular tailgating spots and is located just a few short blocks from Kinnick Stadium. There will be a rally at 69 Olive Court from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. I encourage fans of both the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Western Michigan Broncos to come take a peek at the Ron Paul Revolution.

View details of Ron Paul's visit to Olive Court in Iowa City here.

Lone Star Times applauds free publicity for Ron Paul?

Who would've thought that $500 out of over $5,000,000 would garner so much free publicity? Lone Star Times likes it so much they even altered the Ron Paul Revolution in the most childish of ways.

Google Ron Paul Again

I probably wouldn't have been as nice as this guy who defends Ron Paul on college student loans. I am almost convinced that parents should teach logic and critical reasoning classes at the dinner table so that the children can learn to filter, dissect and question everything that they learned that day in school and that night at the dinner table. The world would be much better off if parents just started doing that one little thing.

For example, my dad said to get a job and learn some self-responsibility. Simple enough, right? Well, my whole life I was taught to try to do right and be a good person. I see what 25% of the earnings from my job goes toward and it contradicts everything I stand for and learned. Even if I get a job where I do nothing but help people, 25% of it still goes toward those contradictory things. What I get in return for my investment is to be criminalized for being fond of a plant, to see my fellow brothers and sisters be oppressed by horrible policy, and to watch people halfway around the globe get blown to bits.

You got the job. Did you get the self-responsibility?

Rudy Giuliani News

Rudy Giuliani just embraced an endorsement from a guy who directly blamed 9/11 on gay Americans, Pat Robertson. He also tried to land his corrupt buddy a job as head of Homeland Security and is business partners with Al-Qaeda friendly Muslims in the Middle East, the same ones who let the mastermind of 9/11 slip away. Rudy just took another jab at Ron Paul by denouncing support from people outside of the official Rudy campaign. Someone outside of the Paul campaign has apparently taken out a big ad in the USA Today paper and Ron just recently raised over $4 million in one day through a donation drive that was not affiliated with campaign headquarters. John McCain made a move similar to Giuliani by denouncing support from people outside of his official campaign as well. Oh, and it has surfaced that News Corp. tried to persuade Judith Regan to commit perjury in order to protect Rudy's presidential bid. I'm not trying to play guilt by association either. I didn't find out any of these things until I already knew how much his politics suck.

I won't even get started on Hillary Clinton's rapsheet. I can easily see how people would be intrigued to vote for her. I've seen her support. Although misguided, it's real. What I really can't figure out is how any accurate poll says that 39% of Americans would vote for Rudy Giuliani to lead this country. I have more faith in people than that.

Rudy Giuliani to tilt the election to Hillary?

A new poll has been released that shows Hillary at 42%, Rudy Giuliani at 39% and Ron Paul as a Libertarian at 8%.

Ron Paul is a ten-term Republican Congressman and is currently a Republican candidate for president. Those two facts are undeniable.

The poll clearly shows that Rudy Giuliani can and will give the election to Hillary Clinton if Republicans do not stand behind Ron Paul.

39 + 8 = 47%

Ron Paul 47%, Hillary Clinton 39%

Extremist group plans to ask Ron Paul to distance himself from extremist groups

The Anti Defamation League (ADL) is reportedly planning to ask Ron Paul to distance himself from extremist groups. This news comes after it was revealed that 1/10,000th of 1% of donations to Ron Paul in the third quarter came from a known Neo-Nazi clown. Or maybe it's 1/1,000th of a percent. Either way, insignificant.

A comment on Capitol Hill Blues comment policy

Capitol Hill Blues just put out a decent article on Ron Paul. I went to comment on the article, couldn't, and ran across a rather redundant commenting policy that I wanted to address.

"Posts that contain racism, homophobia, bigotry or Antisemitism will be removed and the posters banned."

Depending on how you define antisemitism, it is either racism or bigotry. If you view antisemitism as being against semitic people, then it's racism. If you view antisemitism as strictly a Jewish thing, then it'd be bigotry.

I'm a Deist, which is basically the religion for freethinkers. If the comment policy were to be rightfully applied in respects to my particular religion and views then virtually no critical comments would ever be allowed. There are less freethinkers than there are Jews. I don't care though. I invite people to be bigoted towards me. I love it. Let's have a duel of minds.

American Enterprise Institute misrepresents Guy Fawkes Day money bomb

A fellow named John Fortier over at American Enterprise Institute seems to misrepresent the recent Guy Fawkes Day 'Ron Paul money bomb.'

"Ron Paul is an iconoclast, a principled libertarian, and an entertaining presidential candidate, but he has gone too far. Last week he raised boatloads of money from admirers who celebrate the violent overthrow of established government. For the sake of his reputation and his responsibility to the Congress in which he serves, he should disown that support."

Mr. Fortier should have done more research. Guy Fawkes Day is a celebration of the uncovering of the gunpowder plot. It is not a celebration of the violent overthrow of government. Maybe AEI should disown Mr. Fortier.

News Corp. trying to subvert election process?

Judith Regan is suing Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. over claims that she was the victim of a deliberate smear campaign because of information she has that will bring down Rudy Giuliani's campaign for president.

"The smear campaign was necessary to advance News Corp.'s political agenda, which has long centered on protecting Rudy Giuliani's presidential ambitions,'' Regan said in the complaint.

Rudy also still has the Qatar problem to deal with. Why would Rudy be friends and business partners with the people who let the mastermind of 9/11, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, slip away?

Rudy also accepted and embraced an endorsement from Pat Robertson, who blamed 9/11 directly on Americans. Rudy accepted this endorsement only months after publicly humiliating himself by trying to bully Ron Paul in a presidential debate when Paul mentioned that 9/11 was blowback from errant foreign policy.

Mass. Governor wants to jail online gamblers

Deval Patrick wants to send online gamblers to jail and he's pushing the idea in a bill of which the main issue is allow three new casinos to be built in Massachusetts. I wish I'd known about 28 years sooner that we are being run by assclowns. People need to just stop paying the politicians. They can't throw ya all in prison.

The Washington Post doesn't know what smart money is?

The Washington Post claims that because Hillary Clinton and Rudy Giuliani have remained atop the betting odds for president that the smart money is on those candidates. Smart money moves the lines. Odds for Hillary and Rudy have remained relatively stagnant since before the beginning of this election cycle. The smart money is on Ron Paul, who has went from 2,000:1 down to 6:1 in some places, before the recent publicity and money-bomb, but of course WaPo tries to deflect from that.

"As the presidential road show hits Las Vegas this week for a Democratic debate, the bookmakers have already weighed in: New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is the odds-on favorite both to win her party's nomination and then to go on to capture the White House next fall over former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Of course, given how the Washington Redskins keep confounding expectations, only so much weight should be placed on the judgment of bookmakers. But nonetheless, the smart money these days is being bet on the two New Yorkers as the odds grow longer for Sens. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.), both once deemed by Las Vegas to be more likely to win than they are now."

Some folks are trying to use these votes against him but a logical look at things shows that Ron Paul is doing right when he backs bills like these. Obviously I can't speak for him and I don't wish to wrongly state his views as is done here. The above statements by me are simply a common sense way of looking at the various bills listed. But no, the statists and other nefarious elements would rather have our Congress spend days arguing about a conflict that happened a hundred years ago on the other side of the globe.

Ron Paul web traffic is older than you might think

I ran across a neat bit of information over at ClickZ.com regarding the age of Ron Paul online traffic. Young people are playing a big role in the Ron Paul Revolution, but maybe not as big as previously thought. As you can see, younger people account for the least amount of traffic to his website. Get Ron Paul on a national stage in a head-to-head debate against Hillary and I bet you'd see the male to female ratio even out quite a bit.

"Perhaps not surprising to political observers, right-wing Congressman Paul's Web site attracted more males and older visitors than Clinton's younger, female-heavy site audience, according to Hitwise. Around 27 percent of RonPaul.com visitors were 18 to 34, about 36 percent were between 35 and 54, and approximately 37 percent were age 55 and over in October. Seventy-three percent were male."

20,000 new donors for Ron Paul on November 5th

There were about 20,000 new donors to the Ron Paul campaign on November 5th. Perhaps my favorite thing about that is I can picture dozens of fart-sniffers combing through pages and pages of new donor names while searching for that elusive stinker.

I don't think it was ever a real issue but the Ron Paul campaign is definitely past the point where a few renegades with iffy ideologies can screw it up.

I still urge new RP'ers to start up and blog and let your voice be heard. Throw some ads up. Even the smallest and craziest of RP blogs gets real traffic. There are millions being spent on advertising for this presidential election, by businesses and campaigns. It's a good way to get involved and maybe even make a few bucks to donate the next time around. "Blogs for Ron Paul" absolutely dominates the number of blogs for all of the other candidates. Add yourself to the zeitgeist. You might as well toss in your two-cents because with the zeitgeist goes the flow.

Less than 2% of Ron Paul donors are maxed out for the primary

I find it amazing that less than 2% of donors to Ron Paul are maxed out for their primary contributions. Consider the enormous fundraising potential for Ron Paul after he wins the Republican nomination. Here's to hoping that those in power don't pull a Pervez.

Ron Paul wins New York State Republican Straw Poll

Ron Paul has won the New York State Republican straw poll. He beat the former mayor of New York City by a double-digit percentage. Thompson and Huckabee got a combined 3 votes.

CBS News: Ron Paul, Fruitcake

Wow. I'm never using a CBS website again.

CBS News: Ron Paul, Fruitcake by Kevin Dumb

Seriously, all your base are belong to us.

A few pro-Ron Paul news outlets pushed the idea of splitting the November 5th money bomb into two money bombs, with the second coming on November 11th. I wonder if many will pick up on that. Got another million in ya for Veterans Day?

Ron Paul raised $4.2 million dollars on the 5th, very impressive. He is now the Republican front runner, as if he wasn't already.

The other Republican candidates, although formidable opponents, are simply unelectable in the general. All your base are belong to us and I'm not sorry about that. RP fans I've spoken with and observed are voting for Ron whether he is the Republican, Democratic, Independent or Unity candidate. Most have said they'll vote for him whether he is on there or not. Once you go Ron Paul very rarely do you go back. There is no alternative.

If the Republicans are serious about winning, which I believe most of them are, they'll eventually have to get behind Ron Paul. If Ron goes third party and splits the vote the Republicans have even less of a shot than they do if Rudy, Mitt or Fred get the nomination. For once in our lifetime, perhaps the only chance we'll get, freedom and peace-loving people actually have the power.

We can help you win or we can make sure that you lose. You choose.

If Ron doesn't win it really makes no difference if it's Rudy or Hillary in the White House. People like to call Paul a RINO. The other candidates are DINO, different in name only.

It's known that Republicans and Democrats alike are not happy with the direction this country is going. Congress has low approval ratings for different reasons than the media leads the public to believe. They spend way too much time and resources voting on things that shouldn't be in Congress to begin with. Add to that the rampant corruption and persuaded public desire to expect the unexpectable from their leaders then it's very clear why Congress sucks. I really don't understand the logic of people who see that our leaders suck but think that the answer is to expect even more from them. Take away the easy money, don't give them more, and at the same time get out of their way so that the true leaders of the people can get things done effectively. Take away all of the nonsense and we just might be able to get some good things done with the borders, health care system and infrastructure. Islamophobia is killing our kids, and theirs.

It's been tossed about that Ron Paul should move to New Hampshire in order to win that primary and make a big splash. While a loud presence is a must, I'm not sure basing operations from there is necessary. At the current rate of success Mrs. Paul might as well start picking out new drapes for the Lincoln Bedroom. President Ron Paul. I like that.

Moby for Ron Paul?

Moby for Ron Paul? It's not exactly an endorsement, but I'll take it.

"in the most recent debates the democrats mentioned gw bush 47 times and the republicans mentioned gw bush 2 times...(one of which was a critical mention by ron paul, who is awesome). must not be too much fun being a republican these days."

President Ron Paul

I'll be the first to admit that I don't usually see things in the same light as many others. I could fight it but choose to embrace it. It seems to be "in the stars" for Ron Paul to be the next president.

The last time I made serious predictions was a few NCAA basketball tournaments ago. I hadn't watched but a half-dozen or so games that year, but am a freak when it comes to box scores, schedule analysis and team studies. I usually don't have to watch the games. I'm not a gambling man by nature but it's needless to say that I'm looking forward to the opportunity to bet on some hoops now and again. Anyway, in that pool I walked away with the victory before the Elite Eight was finalized. It was statistically impossible for anyone to catch me. There were over 70 people who entered but they couldn't compete with someone who had the foresight to nail all but one Sweet Sixteen team and the entire Elite Eight, in a very upset laden year.

There are a few key factors to look at when picking the upset. Perhaps the most important is performance against good teams on the road. Ron Paul isn't just winning a localized Straw Poll here and there. He is dominating flesh-n-blood vote counts in nearly every state and has been for months. Heck, Ron almost performs better on the road than at home. The Republican establishment in Texas doesn't like RP.

Say he entered the tourney as a 12-seed. When you are the big underdog, there is no better seed to have than the 12. The 5 only beats the 12 about 68% of the time. The 4 beats the 13 about 80% of the time. Many times you are able to snag some great odds on the 5/12 game despite the 12 having the same historical odds to win as the 11 does over the 6. Confused yet? Oh well.

The presidential race is a lot like the NCAA tourney, but not exactly. In the presidential race you essentially start the next round with new seeding. Ron Paul was a 12-seed for the first round, but he's not anymore. Ron Paul might just be 1985 Villanova, the #8 who defeated #1 and heavily favored Georgetown to win the whole thing. Nova had to beat Michigan, Maryland, Memphis St. and Carolina on the way there. Ron has had to deal with Saul, the NSA, Fred, Carolina and will defeat Georgetown Hillary Clinton to win it all. Oh, and what do you know, 2008 minus 1985 equals that magical number, 23.

Cyber-attack continues against Ron Paul, identity thieves donate to campaign

First there was Ron Paul SPAM.
Then there was malware being spread through fake Ron Paul and Barack Obama websites.
Now identity thieves are making donations to the campaign.

Hackers spreading malware through fake Obama and Paul sites?

Webroot has found hundreds of websites that trick unwitting visitors into downloading malicious files infected by the Zlob Trojan. Apparently Barack Obama and Ron Paul are seeing the brunt of the attack.

TheSpoof.com and Ron Paul

I know some people cringe at the mere sight of the name Ron Paul. The non-haters though, they've gotten quite a treat so far from the zany crew over at TheSpoof.com who have produced a large number of entertaining and creative pieces about our next president, Ron Paul. My most recent favorite is the article about a group of physicists who got together to debate the existence of "quantum" Paul.

Obama, Hillary and Ron Paul rule Johnson County, Iowa

Johnson County consists of Iowa City and many surrounding communities. It doesn't take much driving around to see who local residents are supporting for president. There are some local elections coming up, so it's really sign country 'round these parts.

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama have the largest sign presence overall. I'm not sure about the strategy that Obama fans are using though, as their big "Hope" signs look like they are for Ron Paul. Hillary Clinton has a lot of yard signs up in North Liberty, a fast-growing city full of recent Iowa grads.

Ron Paul has the bumper stickers and bulletin boards wrapped up. Believe it or not, in these smaller Iowa communities, a little bulletin board posting can morph into the talk of the coffee shop, both of which are usually located inside of the gas station. As for Iowa City itself, the main attraction of Johnson County, a stroll around the Ped Mall shows that the University of Iowa students are increasingly aware of the only serious Republican contender, Ron Paul. Obama and Ron Paul have the college vote from what I can see.

John Edwards has a small visible presence in Johnson County. His larger base of support is just north in Linn County.

CAN-SPAM doesn't apply to political e-mails, Ron Paul SPAM?

I was further researching "Ron Paul SPAM" and found mention that political e-mails do not fall under the CAN-SPAM law.

"Savvy politicos know that CAN-SPAM and other anti-spam legislation don't apply to them… but they follow the laws anyway, as if they did."

If such is the case, then why hasn't this been questioned before?

I still didn't get my Ron Paul SPAM

I have a lot of email addresses and usually get quite a few SPAM mails to them, but I did not get one of the notorious Ron Paul SPAM messages. It would be interesting to see an overall picture of just who did get the mails. Was the campaign targeted towards people that are already inclinded to dislike Ron Paul or did an equal mix of Ron Paul supporters receive the mails too?

Use white supremacist donation to root out "Ron Paul SPAMMER"

Why not throw down that $500 donated by a known white supremacist and use it to root out the alleged Ron Paul spammer. The usual suspects seem to be pretty upset about the harmless email they received and they are the same exact crowd that is upset by the donation, so why not kill two turds with one stone?

Ron Paul Roundup: Jay Leno, Taxes and Betting Odds

from Gambling911.com on Ron Paul's appearance with Jay Leno:

Paul would be for a flat tax but "I want to make it real flat, like zero."

"People would have money," Paul said when asked whether the country would go broke without taxes. "Much smaller government."

People really are putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to Ron Paul. If the odds makers just wanted to make money off of sucker Ron Paul supporters, or if they thought there was no shot in hell that he'd win, they'd keep those odds high. They lower odds to cover their asses. Lots of actual bets are rolling in for the man who has a completely different message from the rest of the crowd.

Ron Paul presidential betting odds have been lowered to 12/1 by our similarly-oppressed cousins, but some places have his odds as low as 6/1. He's come a long, long way from the beginning of all Revolution when his odds according to gambling websites were, at best, 200/1. His growth in support has undeniably been met with a rise in resistance by those who innocently and not-so-innocently have distaste for the message. It is to be expected. Imagine how many panties will be bunched if his odds drop to 9/11 shortly prior to election.

Brits have Ron Paul at 12/1 to win the presidency

The Brits have lowered the odds of a Ron Paul presidency to 12/1. I like those odds at this point in time. Ron Paul might be the smart money bet.

Oh, and Alex Jones needs to stop being so nice. It's fart-sniffers, not dirt-sniffers.

This post has nothing to do with Ron Paul

I don't like the New York Yankees, never have and I probably never will. I do like Joe Girardi. I simply wanted to make a post to congratulate Mr. Girardi on becoming the new Yankees skipper. I've lived in Chicago Cub country my entire life, was kind of hoping Joe would end up coaching the Cubs.

Paul supporter questions validity of "Ron Paul SPAM" accusations

Recently a few reports have surfaced where people are upset to have received Ron Paul SPAM to their inbox. I will keep all "SPAM-weenie" comments to myself at this point in time and focus my attack on the validity of the claims.

Nobody can prove that the mails originated from a Ron Paul supporter or supporters. Honestly, I would really like to see them try to prove it. The haters might not like where the trail leads. I want to see who is behind the mails, if anyone, along with solid evidence that the person is a supporter of Ron Paul. It takes less than a minute to gain access to proxies around the world. It takes less than an hour to manually harvest about 1,000 emails from sites like Craigslist. I'd advise not dipping into that honey pot, just using it as an example of how easy it is to get active email addresses. Anyone could have sent them, anyone. I am making this post from Taiwan, while sitting in Iowa. I just switched it to the Ukraine, because I can.

In addition to the ease of compiling a list and sending e-mails, there is also the factor that a third-party could have been paid to send the mails. It's done all of the time.

Also, the language used in the title of the mails does not look like it came from an English-first individual. "Government wasteful spending eliminated by Ron Paul" Notice anything a bit off? "Iraq Scam Exposed, Ron Paul" I didn't even look at the body of the mails, no need. A lot more evidence needs to be presented before any haters can make a logical claim that American Ron Paul supporters are sending out SPAM emails. So far there is no proof that supporters of Ron Paul sent any SPAM to anyone.

Finally, I decided to retract my above statement about holding off on SPAM-weenie comments. The folks who are raising a stink about a random "Ron Paul SPAM" email need to step back and realize how silly it is to get upset about an email of that nature.

Did someone try to steal your credit card number or PayPal password through the mail in question? Did someone threaten you or tell you that a family member passed away? Was spyware or a malicious virus installed on your computer through the email? I just don't see what the big deal is about a harmless email. CAN-SPAM was created to protect people from scams not give them an excuse to label every unwanted email as SPAM. Weenies.

Iowa KCRG - Ron Paul making strides with voters, contributors

My local news outlet in Iowa just released a good article about Ron Paul. I'm disappointed about the photo, though, as I can already see the hit pieces in the blogosphere bashing Ron Paul because two of his fans believe in wearing white after Labor Day. How dare they!

Doesn't CAN-SPAM mean that we can spam?

Anti-SPAM researchers at UAB have discovered "Ron Paul SPAM" that originated from Italy and Korea. This is obvious proof that the Asian and Italian secret societies endorse Ron Paul for President.

You'll have to excuse my Asian and Italian friends. When they see CAN-SPAM Act they take the translation literally, meaning that they can spam.

Ron Paul Wins GOP Debate!
Ron Paul Eliminates the IRS!
Ron Paul Stops Iraq War!
Vote Ron Paul 2008!
Iraq Scam Exposed, Ron Paul
Government Wasteful Spending Eliminated By Ron Paul

"Messages such as these harm the online eco-system by casting doubt on the veracity of other online communications", taxpayer funded UAB anti-SPAM researcher Gary Warner said.

I hope Mr. Warner did this research on his own time and not on the taxpayer dime, but I won't hold my breath on that.

Ron Paul on front page of Google News

Maybe I'm a bit late to the show, but today when I signed on I saw Ron Paul on the front page of Google News for the first time. His name was listed with several others, including Barack Obama, under the "In The News" section. Normally I see Mitt or Rudy occupying one of the spots. Ron Paul is movin' on up.

His name disappeared from "In The News" after I logged-in to my Google account and went back to the news page. Oh well, it was there, I swear! Did anyone else see it?

LA Times: Polls don't reflect Obama's support

"There is something missing," Mellman said. "He's raised money in unbelievable amounts, generated tremendous enthusiasm . . . and vast amounts of publicity. And those advantages were not given to him on a silver platter. He earned them. There is something unique and special about this guy, and I don't know why that has not translated into more support."
Do not read below this line of you don't like when people point out coincidences or think openly.

"1435" Why is Barry staring at a colony-simulating factor? Hemopoietic stem cells were cultured on a so-called semi solid matrix (Earth?) which prevents cells from moving around, so that if a single cell starts proliferating, all of the cells derived from it will remain clustered around the spot in the matrix where the first cell was originally located, and these are referred to as "colonies." It was therefore possible to add various substances to cultures of hemopoietic stem cells and then examine which kinds of colonies were "stimulated" by them.
I know I'm not the only person alive to notice the frequent usage of sun-crosses by certain media. Are we a flippin' experiment? Hey, I told you not to read below the line.

Ron Paul releases new TV ad, readies for Leno

The Ron Paul presidential campaign has released a new TV ad for New Hampshire. It's much better than the first Ron Paul television ad. The new exposure is not limited to paid advertising though, some mainstream outlets are finally starting to realize what they've been missing as they previously ignored or ridiculed the Ron Paul Revolution.

On October 30th, Tom Cruise and the Sex Pistols will be joined as guests on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno by none other than the next president, Ron Paul. There is a fundraiser in the Hills which will hopefully provide a little surge in the donation totals. My guess would be that Ron Paul has more closet support in Hollywood than he does vocal support. Speaking of vocals and sex pistols, THE Barry Manilow will be appearing on the Tonight Show on October 31st along with hottie Eva Mendes.

Illogical Denver Post eLetter about Ron Paul

Denver Post eLetter

Letter-writer Ellyn Hilliard bemoans the dearth of qualified presidential candidates, but suggests Republican unknown Ron Paul as the only one who “makes any sense.” Paul’s delivery and Libertarian views might appear refreshing to one accustomed to Washington doubletalk, but he has a serious and genuine flaw: He hasn’t left the Republican Party. Ron Paul has chosen to stand behind this administration’s countless failures. His complicity reveals his true motives.

Bill O'Reilly admits Ron Paul was right, calls him a pinhead anyway

Betsy DeVall stopped her car on some train tracks. Unfortunately, a train was coming, and Ms. DeVall seemed oblivious to that. There she is with the police officer.

So Greer Police Officer Marcus O'Shields had to pull the woman from her car, which was then destroyed by the oncoming train. Obviously, Officer O'Shields is a patriot. And we suspect Ms. DeVall is a pinhead. Just sitting there on the tracks.

But so is Congressman Ron Paul, who said this.

REP. RON PAUL (R-TX), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: How often should I go on the Bill O'Reilly show? You know, I don't care what the questions are, but just let me give an answer. The last time I was on the O'Reilly show I started mentioning something about history. "We don't want to hear about any history."

O'Reilly - "What the congressman said was true."

Will Ron Paul raise a million bucks on November 5th?

I've seen it thrown about that Ron Paul Meetup members are planning a $100 donation on November 5th. It was recently reported that less than 3% of donors to Ron Paul are maxed out, so that leaves a lot of room for growth.

Let's say that there are 40,000 unique and loyal Ron Paul Meetup members. If 25% of them meet the $100 donation request on November 5th then they will raise Ron Paul $1,000,000 in a single day. Impressive, and I'd say that's a conservative estimate of what could happen.

Remember, I'm only counting Internet donations from Ron Paul Meetup members. Ron Paul has much more support than just Meetup groups. He got nearly a half-million votes in 1988. Something tells me that a majority of those people are still alive and most of them will vote for Ron Paul. I don't participate in Meetups and I'll most likely donate for my first time on that day. So will many others.

I can already see the hater headlines in early November claiming that the Ron Paul campaign is falling flat because of a monthly fundraising goal that fell a million short. Boom! Remember, remember the Fifth of November.

Deists for Ron Paul

I would go so far as to say that Ron Paul has the Deist vote wrapped up. That's not saying a whole lot, as there are many more Jews in America than Deists, but we comprise a solid and powerful group of voters. The Constitution is largely based on principles which Deists live by. Take the following excerpt from the Deism.com website for example:

  • What's Deism's answer to all the evil in the world? Much of the evil in the world could be overcome or removed if humanity had embraced our God-given reason from our earliest evolutionary stages. After all, all the laws of nature that we've discovered and learned to use to our advantage that make everything from computers to medicine to space travel realities, have existed eternally. But we've decided we'd rather live in superstition and fear instead of learning and gaining knowledge. It's much more soothing to believe we're not responsible for our own actions than to actually do the hard work required for success.

Sound familiar? It sounds like the basic philosophy for a free-market economy and a non-interventionalist foreign policy if you ask me. I don't agree with everything that the Deism website has to say but if you'll look around to get a grasp of what Deism is all about you'll see fairly quickly that it is a "religion" which is almost exactly in tune with the message of Ron Paul and our Founding Fathers.

I'm not trying to promote Deism to anyone. I'm just saying that Ron Paul is very likely to get almost all Deist votes. He is the presidential candidate who uses logic and reason when he governs the people.

A guide to Ron Paul slang

What is a Paulista? In real life it's someone from Sao Paulo, Brazil. In political forums on the Internet it's a lame term used by people to try and make Ron Paul and his supporters sound foreign and dangerous. As you can see here, some RP fans actually covet the label of Paulista. Alternative: Paulenista.

What is a Paultard? A Paultard is a Ron Paul supporter who uses logic to counter the illogical criticisms and defamation spewed forth by certain elements in the mainstream and alternative media. It's hard to find a Ron Paul hit piece that isn't full of logical fallacies. If you point the fallacies out to the author then you'll be labeled a Paultard and probably have your IP banned from posting again.

What is a Ron Paul Troofer? A Ron Paul Troofer is a supporter of Ron Paul who uses the term '9/11' in a sentence or on a sign. Only Rudy Giuliani and George Bush are allowed to say '9/11' in public. Rosie O'Donnell tried and she hasn't been seen in public since.

What is a Paulthead? A Paulthead is a supporter of Ron Paul who likes that Dr. Paul would end the very profitable and very unconstitutional War on Drugs. A Paulthead may or may not smoke marijuana but that minor detail will not stop the haters from applying the label. OK, so they haven't exactly applied the Paulthead label yet. I just made it up.

What is a hot air Paulloon? A hot air Paullon is a hit piece put out by fake conservatives at sites like LittleGreenFootballs and HotAir. Hot air Paulloons are magnets for Paultards. How dare a Paultard point out that dropping bombs around the world while creating huge amounts of government oppression and waste are not exactly conservative traits. Many Paultheads are of the impression that hot air Paulloons from LittleGreenFootballs and HotAir are meant for comedy. Nobody can really be that scared of Muslims.

There are a few other terms you might see thrown about by the logically-challenged. Paulite is a relatively harmless example that I've come to use in my own descriptions. It's better than McCainiacs. Speaking of, I think those creatures are about extinct. What other supporter nicknames are out there? Hucksters? Umm. Mitt's Harem? Nah. Johnmunists? Maybe. C.F.R.edheads? Sure why not. Obamanations? Obamanible Multi-colored Snowpersons? Billary's Shills? Yawn. Ghoolianis? Nope. Duncan Hunter's family and close friends? I'll cut him some slack. I haven't seen his supporters out and about talking smack. Come to think of it, I haven't seen his supporters anywhere. Maybe they are building that fence. Sorry dude. I guess my point is that at least people have nicknames for supporters of Ron Paul. At least Ron Paul has visible public support. Sticks and stones...

Obama fans, don't take it personal. I haven't seen many of you actively dissing Ron Paul and so far have the impression that your large Internet crowd is, for the most part, fighting fair. You have your own battle to wage against Hillary so I can't imagine your all that worried about Ron Paul. Ron Paul versus Barack Obama in the general election would be a much different story than Paul versus Clinton. Ron Paul would still win. Neener, neener.

What can I say. A guy has to have a bit of fun once in awhile, even if nobody else gets it. We all take this stuff a bit too seriously sometimes. Even GW has a sense of humor about it all, sick as it may be.

Will Ron Paul get invited to attend The Greater Houston Partnership bipartisan presidential forum?

The Greater Houston Partnership is sponsoring a bipartisan presidential forum on Nov. 13 to address energy and environmental issues. Several candidates are reportedly going to attend. Ron Paul was initially not invited but event organizers are considering extending an invitation to Paul and Mike Huckabee.

(Chron) - The organizers initially invited eight candidates: Sen. Clinton of New York, Sen. Barack Obama of Illinois, former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson; and Republican former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former Sen. Fred Thompson of Tennessee, and Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

Spokesmen for the Giuliani, Richardson, Romney and Thompson campaigns said their candidates had made no commitments beyond this weekend.

McDaniel said the organizers limited the invitation list to those candidates who, two or three months ago, appeared to be in the top tier of contenders.

That selection process proved a bit awkward, since Rep. Ron Paul, R-Lake Jackson, is a member of the Houston area delegation but was not invited.

Now organizers are considering opening up the invitation list to include Paul and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on the Republican side, as well as Democratic senators Joe Biden and Chris Dodd.

WaPo: Who's the Real Republican? Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is the real Republican candidate in the race for president. Look at his record and then look at the statement below from the Washington Post article.

--A series of essays in the volume "The Future of Conservatism," edited by Charles W. Dunn, examines the strains inside the GOP in the post-Reagan era. The Republican coalition, like all successful major party coalitions, is inherently fractious and potentially unstable.

The scholars who contributed to the volume examine what contributed to the success of the party, particularly under Ronald Reagan, and what its future may hold. Dunn, dean of the Robertson School of Government at Regent University, identifies five wings of the modern conservative movement: neoconservatives, libertarians, midwestern conservatives, traditionalists and religious conservatives.--

Ron Paul appeals to all of those except perhaps a wing of the neoconservative and religious movement which likes to use our easy money and our military for their own ideological beliefs and personal gain. This race is Ron Paul's to win. Ron Paul is a better Republican than all other participating candidates. Heck, Ron Paul is a better Democrat than all of the other participating Democratic candidates. Both parties have gone astray in a very bad way.

Health Care - Obama versus Ron Paul

Check out this post from Leisure With Dignity which sums up the difference between Barack Obama and Ron Paul on the matter of health care. The big versus small mentality of each candidate extends far beyond the health care issue, but this is a promising sign that at least some folks outside of the Paul camp are opening their eyes to a different way of seeing things. I wish the blogger would reconsider the final statement of the post because Ron Paul does not govern in a way that restricts religious freedoms at all. I am a Deist for Ron Paul. If his ideology hindered my freedom to believe what I want to believe and act accordingly then I wouldn't be supporting him.

Democrats: Children Will Get Insurance

(AP) — House Democratic leaders said Sunday they were working to gather votes to override a veto on a popular children's health program, but pledged to find a way to cover millions without insurance should their effort fail.

"Isn't that sad for America's children?" said Pelosi, D-Calif., when asked about the GOP's assurances the override vote will fail. "It doesn't mean we aren't working hard throughout the country: governors, mayors, people who deal with children on a regular basis.

"We'll try very hard to override it. But one thing's for sure: We won't rest until those 10 million children have health care," she said in an interview broadcast Sunday.

Affordable health care is the answer, not health insurance every child who doesn't have it. I don't want my kid on government welfare health care. I just want insurance companies, drug companies and my own government to stop making the prices skyrocket. These politicians like Pelosi and Hoyer are eloquently lying to the public as to the true intentions of the program. Please vote for Ron Paul. He's the only one who gets it.

Murdoch Machine Attempts Paul Smear

(FMNN) - The smear campaign against Presidential candidate Ron Paul has hit an all time high with the corporate media today ludicrously declaring that the Congressman's immense worldwide popularity is all a huge con emanating from Dr Paul's own office. Rupert Murdoch owned Australian outlet News.com.au has today disseminated the most insidious and farcical report concerning Ron Paul to date. --
